An extract from a short film I am writing called Company, which revolves around a trio – HIM, HER and CELESTE.
He could have no regrets, for she was worth leaving any woman for. She had all and was all a man could ask for. She was the idea men had been waiting to have for, probably, about a hundred years. She surpassed the Fifties housewife in image and reality, she outdid the Victorians in etiquette and the renaissance in philosophy and romance. She was, truly, celestial.
And after all, people are impatient. And men need variety.
